Pretzel Jello Salad

Compliments of: Belinda Craft

2 1/4 cup crushed pretzels
1/2 cup margarine, melted
3 tsp. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 cups cool whip
6 oz. pkg. raspberry jello
20 oz. frozen raspberries
2 cups boiling water

Mix pretzels, margarine and 3 tsps. of sugar. Press into a 9x13 pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-20 minutes. Cool.
Combine cream cheese and powdered sugar. Fold in Cool whip. Spread this mixture on cooled pretzels.
Mix raspberry jello with boiling water to dissolve. Add frozen raspberries. Let this set a little, then pour over cream cheese mixture. Chill until set.
Note: If using fresh berries, use the quick set method for jello by adding ice cubes, then add berries. Also, strawberries and strawberry jello can be substituted for the raspberries.
